Goldener Adler

Innsbruck

Since opening in 1390, the grand Goldener Adler has welcomed kings, queens and Salzburg’s two biggest exports: Mozart and Mrs Von Trapp. Rooms are elegant with gold drapes and squeaky-clean marble bathrooms. Downstairs there is a cracking traditional restaurant tucked under the arcades and spilling out on the cobbles.
