It's worth planning ahead to visit this wonderful cellar door, a few kilometres north of Rust, in the hamlet of Oggau. Young winemakers Eduard Tscheppe and Stephanie Tscheppe-Eselböck create highly individual, biodynamic and minimal-intervention wines for their gorgeous, new-school Heuriger. Apart from their own wines, they also offer a selection of reasonably priced vintages from like-minded Austrian and Italian producers.
Snacking plates (€6 to €10) are equally as intriguing – such as a plate of local sheep cheese with nasturtium pesto or perfect dark bread with lardo. Menus change regularly.
