The 'Punka Pub' combines a chic and modern makeover with respect for its 100-year history, and these days it's all about Aussie craft beers, cocktails on tap and wine sourced exclusively from the immediate area. It does great food using local produce and also offers boutique, well-priced rooms ($140). There's a kids' menu and a great beer garden.
The bathrooms here are pretty cool, featuring live goldfish in tanks. It's on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, so you can pedal here from Bright in under 20 minutes.
