Recent renovations have re-created this iconic space. The 39 rooms, all muted pastels and velvet green cushions, feature custom furniture, Bose SoundTouch speakers and photography (ask for a deluxe room with a bath). Mediterranean-inspired restaurant Prince Dining Room (open 7am to 11pm), celebrated Prince Bandroom (be prepared for weekend noise) and Aurora Spa Retreat are here. Stairs only.

Note that the hotel's pool is in a private-function space and so isn't accessible. At the time of writing, the public bar and former Acland St space were expected to be replaced by a gastropub by the end of 2019.
