Swanpool Cinema

Top choice in Victorian High Country

The tiny hamlet of Swanpool – population 207 – is a blink and you'll miss it kind of place 38km north of Mansfield en route to Benalla, but the village's retro cinema is a destination in itself. Since 1957, films have been shown in the Swanpool Hall, and with chandeliers and heritage furniture and architecture, it's a fine place to watch an arthouse movie. Films are shown as a good-value double feature on Saturday and Sunday nights.
