Darlington Camp Site

The East Coast

Grassy unpowered sites behind the dunes of Darlington beach. The camp shelter has gas barbecues and a fireplace, and there are toilets and showers ($1). Expect more wallabies and wombats (and likely a Tasmanian devil or two) than humans as neighbours. National park fees apply. Fees are payable at the island visitor centre; no bookings.

There are also free camping sites at French’s Farm and Encampment Cove, three to four hours' walk south from the ferry pier. These campgrounds have limited tank water – bring your own.
