Built by Frederick Ormiston (Strahan’s founder), this handsome red-brick mansion dating from 1899 now offers B&B accommodation in five well-sized, antique-filled rooms. A recent change of management isn't expected to lead to many changes – expect comfortable beds, a generous continental breakfast and a relaxing ambience. Ask to visit the small museum about Strahan's history housed in the mansion's tower.
