Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat

Cradle Country & The West

A secluded mountain retreat offering cabins with somewhat-tired decor, Lemonthyme has recently acquired new owners so changes may be in the pipeline. It's set in dense forest 22km from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Information Centre and its isolation means that internet access is limited and TV reception nonexistent. The timber-panelled in-house restaurant offers simple meals (mains $23 to $38).

Driving to Cradle Mountain from Devonport, turn onto the gravel Dolcoath Rd, 3km south of Moina, and follow it for a scenic 8km to get here.
