Given the sheer number of acres 'under vine' around Adelaide, there are surprisingly few good wine bars in the city – something to do with the synergy between 40°C days and cold beer, perhaps. But sweet Mother Vine is a good 'un, nooked into Vardon Ave off Rundle St and with a broad vinous remit from the Barossa to Burgundy.
