Jochheims Pies

The Whitsundays

Jochheims has been keeping Bowen bellies full of homemade pies and other baked treats since 1963. Pies, including innovative varieties such as prawn in garlic-and-white-wine sauce (sold on Thursdays), are naturally the main stock in trade, but quiches, robust breakfasts (served until 11.30am) and scones are also top-notch.

The 'hunky beef' pie is so named because it was Hugh Jackman's favourite while filming Australia.
