Accessible by 2WD and only 36km from the Arnhem Hwy, this remote lodge is part of an old cattle station and ideal for exploring the Mary River region. Accommodation ranges from campsites and simple safari tents to budget rooms and decent lodge rooms. Two-hour wetland cruises on croc-rich Rockhole Billabong cost $65/25 per adult/child, and boat hire is available.

There is also barra fishing and birdwatching excursions.
