Ross River Resort

Northern Territory

Nine kilometres along the continuation of the Ross Hwy past the Arltunga turn-off (coming from Alice Springs) is the secluded Ross River Resort. Built around a historic stone homestead, timber cabins encircle a swimming pool.

There’s a store with fuel and it’s worth stopping to check out the old homestead and maybe grab lunch (mains $16 to $25) or a beer in the Stockman’s Bar. Ring first to check that the restaurant is open.
