Decorated with business cards, bras, banknotes and memorabilia from passing travellers, this pub claims to be the oldest in the NT (its liquor licence has been valid since 1893). Beside the pub is a dustbowl campground with a bit of shade; book ahead or arrive early to secure a powered site.

Accommodation ranges from basic dongas (small, transportable buildings) to spacious self-contained cabins.

The pub has become a bit of a legend along the Track. Every evening from April to September there’s the popular beef ’n’ barra barbecue, along with entertainment some nights from a visiting country muso. Otherwise, hearty meals (mains $12 to $32), including the filling barra burger, roast beef rolls, kangaroo loin and home-made damper bread, are served.
