You're a long way from anywhere out here; to Cape Crawford it's a desolate 377km north across the Barkly Tablelands along the Tablelands Hwy (Rte 11), 210km west to Tennant Creek or 252km east to the Queensland border. And yet it's here you'll find one of the NT's best roadhouses. Meals (mostly burgers and salads) in the restaurant (6am to 8.30pm) cost $16.50 to $25
Rooms are simple but well-maintained and the camping areas are similarly well looked after.
