Good for souvenirs, this provincially sponsored market is set in a centuries-old complex that was once Salta's main flour mill. Within it are a collection of independent kiosks selling handicrafts such as hammocks, string bags, ceramics, basketry, leatherwork, jewelry and the region’s distinctive ponchos. To get here take bus 5A from downtown.
Across the street is the much less charming jumble that is Féria Artesano, which operates the same hours. Don't be fooled into coming here by cabbies looking for payola.
