Refugio Otto Meiling

Top choice in Bariloche & the Lake District

This snow-line Club Andino refugio can be reached via a five-hour hike from Pampa Linda. There's room for 60 people (it can get rather cozy!); bring your own sleeping bag. Meals, beer and wine are available on request. In high season, there's daily transport to Pampa Linda from Bariloche. Mountain guides can be hired here for numerous trekking excursions.

The refugio is an excellent base for hiking; treks range from a three-hour jaunt to a nearby glacier to the multiday ascent of Cumbre Argentina on Tronador.
