Refugio Emilio Frey

Bariloche & the Lake District

An easy, four-hour trail starts near the top of the Cerro Catedral lift, leading to Club Andino's Refugio Emilio Frey, on the banks of picturesque Laguna Tonchek. There, 40 beds and simple meals are available, as are kitchen facilities (AR$70). This refugio itself is exposed, but there are free sheltered tent sites.
