La Ranchería de Santa Catalina has a lovely inn, restaurant (mains AR$120 to AR$250) and crafts store in the ranchería. For accommodations, it has only two rooms with a shared bathroom, which occupy the atmospheric former slave quarters and, while small, are carefully decorated and retain their original stone walls.
The place is run by a friendly couple who are more than willing to fill you in on the illustrious story of the estancia, from Jesuit times to the present.
