Hotel Cacheuta

Mendoza & the Central Andes

There is lodging at the lovely and homey family-run hotel, where prices include access to the wonderful spa baths, swimming pool and massage. Eight of the 16 rooms have mountain and pool views. The ruins of an early 20th-century, larger and grander hotel, as well as a rail station are visible – old photos also attest to its former golden age.

Meals are as much a highlight as the views and spa, especially the gluttony-inducing buffet lunch. A small church, circa 1916, sits in the parking lot in front of the hotel.
