La Biela

Recoleta & Barrio Norte

A Recoleta institution, this classic cafe has been serving the porteño elite since the 1950s. The outdoor front terrace is unbeatable for a coffee or beer on a sunny afternoon – just know that the privilege of seating here will cost you more.

The huge gomero (rubber tree) opposite La Biela was planted by a Franciscan monk around 1800.
