Piñar del Norte

The nucleus of what became Villa Gesell can be found among the trees in the town center, planted long ago by founder Carlos Gesell. Among the shade trees is his old house, Casa Histórica, now a small museum. It contains archives from the town's inception and some old photos. The surrounding park is now threaded with trails and remains a wonderful spot for a picnic.
