Dripping with colonial character, this gracious hotel was built in the 1780s to store the copper and lumber needed for ship repairs. It now has 14 studios and suites, each named after one of Nelson's ships. All open onto a flowery courtyard and burst with vintage flair courtesy of four-poster beds, brick walls, wooden beams and mock gas lamps.
Weekends are rung in with the legendary 'Seafood Friday,' a tasty barbecue on the hotel lawn that brings out locals and visitors in droves.
