The grande dame of Annaba hotels opened for business in 1876, and for many years it was the place to stay. Eventually it fell into disrepair, but today, after extensive renovations, its doors have been swung open again and behind its colonial-era facade with Moorish hints it's all loud colours, fine service and supremely comfortable (if small) bedrooms.
