Milingona Hostel

Tirana

This superchilled villa in a side street in the middle of Tirana's old town is a friendly place with five- and six-person dorms, though the basement's 12-bed dorm is the coolest spot in summer. There's a communal kitchen, plus an outside bar with hammocks slung between citrus trees and lots of space for socialising.

Extras include free yoga in summer and lockable individual boxes under each bed. It can be a little hard to find but is quite well-known in the neighbourhood, if you need someone to point it out.
